Kutch is a large district. A five-day visit can cover a few distinct areas, but it is not a realistic time to see every destination. This outline prioritises Bhuj, nearby craft villages, the White Rann and Dholavira. It leaves Mandvi for an additional coastal day or a separate trip.

Before booking, map each day's exact endpoints. Road distance and driving time depend on the route, current road conditions, stops and where you stay. For the White Rann, use the current Gujarat Tourism permit portal and follow the instructions for your visit date.

Day 1 — Bhuj; stay in Bhuj

Use the first day for Bhuj's city sights and check the current opening details before visiting museums or palaces. Start with the Bhuj sightseeing guide and keep this day within the city rather than adding a long out-of-town drive.

Day 2 — Craft villages; stay in Bhuj

Visit the craft stops that match your interests and confirm opening hours directly before setting out. The Bhujodi weaving guide covers the village's handloom tradition. Allow for travel between villages and time with makers; do not treat several workshops as guaranteed drop-in attractions.

Day 3 — Bhuj to Dhordo or a nearby village; stay in the area

Move north and check in at your chosen accommodation before visiting the White Rann. Dhordo village, White Rann access and the seasonal Rann Utsav Tent City are different places with separate access and booking arrangements. See the Dhordo guide and White Rann visitor guide.

Day 4 — White Rann area to Dholavira; stay near Dholavira

Allow the day for the route to Dholavira and the archaeological site. The Road to Heaven is a named road on the Khavda–Khadir route; plan from your actual accommodation to the site and confirm current access and road conditions. See the Dholavira guide before committing to a same-day onward transfer.

Day 5 — Dholavira to your onward base

Use the final day for the return drive or onward travel. If Mandvi is a priority, add another day and overnight on the coast instead of trying to combine a long transfer with a full beach and palace visit. The Mandvi guide helps plan that extension.

A three-day version

Keep a short trip to Bhuj and the White Rann area: stay in Bhuj on night one, move to Dhordo or another nearby base on day two, then return on day three. Check the permit instructions and map the return before choosing a same-day trip. Leave Dholavira, the craft belt and Mandvi for a longer visit; trying to add them all makes the itinerary depend on long transfers.
