Overview

Kranti Tirth is a national memorial complex built in Mandvi dedicated to Pandit Shyamji Krishna Varma — one of India's earliest and most formidable freedom fighters. Born in Mandvi in 1857, Shyamji founded the Indian Home Rule Society and the famous 'India House' in Highgate, London, which served as the epicenter of Indian revolutionary activities in Europe. Inaugurated in 2010, the 52-acre coastal complex features a full-scale replica of London's India House and houses his sacred urns.
